Abstract


This paper bases on the poem wrote by the poets in the Chinese New Era in Christian culture background. Through analyzing the poem, the paper tries to illustrate the Christian culture and Chinese poem in the New Era in multi-dimension. It begins with the image that has some connection with the Christian culture, the original stories in the Bible and language art in the poem. The first part of the paper studies the image that appears usually in the poem of Chinese New Era, such as the image of heaven, water, light and wings and legs. It analyses the special meaning of each image in the Christian culture background in order to see how the Christian, as a religious belief, affecting on the writing of the poem. The second part contrasts the modes in the Bible that is heaven-criminal-penalty-confess-redemption with the poem. The paper discusses such stories in the Bible as Latin Cross and redemption, the forgiveness and fraternity, the path and the wasteland with the purpose of revealing the inner relationship between the spiritual connotation of Christianity and the poem creation in the New Era. The third part centers on the language of the poem, from the Rhetorical tactics of metaphor and personification to the written style of allegory that often used in the Bible. This part compares the differences between the poem in the Chinese New Era and the Bible. Then it discusses in the high-frequency word and language structure to see the potential link between them. At the same time, the paper studies the simulation of the Prayer psa and Hallel in the Bible by the poet, revealing the contact in the spirit of the poem and the Christian culture from poetry genres. The paper emphasizes on the relationship between the poem in Chinese New Era and the Christian culture through the study on the language, image and context of the poem. It looks into the poem of this period in a new perspective to tap the potential culture connotation of the poem.
