Abstract


With the development of industrialization and urbanization, more and more peasants are coming into the cities and searching for jobs. Meanwhile as time passes by, peasants who entered the cities and engaged in some work are exiting from historical stage. Instead a new and vigorous young peasants who were born in the 1980s and 1990s, eager to get a decent job with high wage and take root in city are called renascent peasant workers According to the data form National Bureau of Statistics, As at the date of 2009, the number of peasants will be 230 million, of which 16-30 years old has been occupied 61.6 of the whole number. It also means the renascent peasant workers will be the major part. But a scene "The Civilian Worker Neglects" has been witnessed:enterprises needs lots of peasants, but the peasant workers always are refused by some enterprises. Through which, it exposes a problem, that’s to say there still are big gap between the skill and quality of renascent peasant workers and the requirements of recruitments. Therefore, it will become a urgent and important task for governments at all levels to strengthen the vocational training and improve the skill and quality of renascent peasant workers.Firstly this thesis focuses on the basic conceptions, analyses the contents of vocational training, vocational training of renascent peasant workers and the problems from vocational training of renascent peasant workers. Moreover, it summarizes the four subjects from the process of vocational training of renascent peasant workers, including governments, enterprises, training organizations and renascent peasant workers which forms the four dimensions for the problems the thesis is studying. Secondly, the thesis takes instance for H city in Hunan province. It compiled some questionnaires and made interviews for 480 renascent peasant workers in 12 training organizations, staff who are responsible for daily affairs in Training Division of Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, in department of human resources of enterprises as well as in training organizations respectively. By investigation, we master the four problems in process of vocational training of renascent peasant workers carried out in H city. inclusive of little support from governments, inactive role enterprises plays as a subject, inefficiency of training result of training organizations and uninspiring of enthusiasm from renascent peasant workers.Based on the problems of process of vocational training of renascent peasant workers in H city as well as combining some experts suggestions with some responsibilities in training organizations, the author proposes the three strategies for solving the problems in vocational training of renascent peasant workers:for governments, to reinforce the sense of working and to improve the management system; for enterprises, to take an initiative to play an important part as a subject; for training organization, to optimize the process of training implemented.
