Abstract


Rural left-behind children is a special group generated in China’s transitional period, which has aroused wide attentions of all social sectors.As the first generation of left-behind children born in the late 1980s and early 1990s has made it to adulthood, the value and significance of left-behind is becoming sharper and sharper.The paper is an retrospective study on college students with left-behind experiences about their left-behind experiences.This research obtained first-hand materials by asking participants to tell their growth stories,and then showed their ecological systems by emphasizing on microsystems in human development ecology theory,as well as tried to reveal the deep reasons that influences their development during the left-behind process.First,this research collected materials through qualitative research methods such as interview,real collection and so on.The article showed the microsystems of their families,schools and village communities and the world of their life,study and emotion,as well as their vision of future.Second,from the theoretical perspective of human development ecology,this article analysed how microsystems influenced college students with left-behind experiences.Research findings:Relatively lacking of parental subsystem,the mutual interaction mode of the remaining family’s subsystems becomes complicated; the greatest impact is of emotion;the near-environment is the in-depth reasons for the development of left-behind children.Finally,on the basis of the above conclusions, the article proposed some advice for left-behind children.To make left-behind children grow up healthily in the environment,their subjective experiences should be fully considered and extended temporally and spatially; they shoud be encouraged to be initiative in the environment and provided with multiple role experiences.
