Abstract


Knowledge is a source of innovation . The collaboration of the parent and subsidiary companies in the innovation process , its essence is mutual knowledge transfer , sharing and creation . Parent and subsidiary companies in the innovation process , the heterogeneity of knowledge to contribute to the innovation performance of the parent and subsidiary companies , But if the high degree of heterogeneity of knowledge will increase the cost of knowledge innovation , and thus have a negative impact on innovation performance . How to determine the degree of heterogeneity of knowledge in the innovation performance of the parent and subsidiary companies achieve the best ? Existing literature on this issue is not enough attention to confuse the concept of knowledge diversity and heterogeneity Firstly, from the parent-subsidiary knowledge associated and diversity of both to redefine the heterogeneity of the knowledge of the parent and subsidiary companies , after literature combing and quantitative analysis , by meta- analysis methods to analyze the differences in the existing research , integration and evaluation of the different studies , especially research project is to integrate different conclusions based on more in-depth analysis . Meta - analysis on the basis of further mathematical derivation and simulation , reveals the relationship between the parent and subsidiary companies knowledge heterogeneity and innovation performance obtained knowledge associated with knowledge of the diversity of the combined effect of the improvement of the innovation performance of the parent and subsidiary companies , knowledge relevance of innovation have a positive impact on the performance of intellectual diversity on innovation performance threshold exists only when it is less than the threshold before a positive relationship with innovation performance , when it is greater than the threshold , it will be suppressed because of the increase in the cost improve the innovation performance of the parent and subsidiary companies . Finally , the paper presents important revelation of the relationship of the parent-subsidiary innovation management .
