Abstract

The RF receiver is an important part of the satellite navigation and positioning system . Low noise amplifier (LNA) as the first stage of the RF receiver chip , its performance directly affects the overall receiver noise figure and sensitivity . In this paper, our extensive satellite navigation and positioning system - GPS and Beidou , designed to work in the GPS L1 and the \First, have mastered the basis of the performance of the LNA , analyze and summarize the advantages and disadvantages of several common LNA circuit structure , the last source inductance negative feedback structure as the main structure of the LNA . In order to ensure that the LNA has a good performance , is designed to meet performance requirements the reference current source circuit to improve the current mirror circuit in the LNA . Also the design of the control circuit , so that LNA can operate in four different bias currents . The due the LNA input gate inductance L_g relatively large value , so the outside of the chip to achieve ; the LNA output end the drain inductance L_d relatively small , so the implementations in the the chip internal and external two kinds designed LNA1 and LNA2 . Based on TSMC 0.18μm RF CMOS process using Cadence software LNA circuit design , layout and simulation analysis , respectively by LNA1 , and LNA2 of post-simulation results . LNA sent to flow chip manufacturing process manufacturers , using a packaged LNA chip external discrete inductor , input and output matching its capacitive elements , to enable them to work L1/B1, B2/B3 two narrow-band . Test of matching good LNA final comparative analysis of simulation results with experimental results found LNA1 measured results later simulation results performance decline , LNA2 performance decline is smaller . Detailed analysis of the test results , preliminary Find out the reasons that cause performance degradation , and lay the foundation for subsequent work .
