Abstract


Logistics industry is the basic industry and pillar industry in national economy, its development level is an important indicator of the national or regional modernization and comprehensive national strength. As logistics industry is playing an increasingly important role in the process of regional economic development and industrial structure optimization many areas are starting to focus on the development of logistics industry. But at the meantime, due to lack of pre-evaluation, some areas are blind on the logistics industry development program, and waste on duplicated construction, even lose the actual situation, which influences the smooth development of logistics industry. In view of this, it is necessary to study and evaluate the competitiveness of regional logistics industry, to support the government departments clear on the competitiveness of regional logistics industry in their areas, and discover the problem in practice, then making a reasonable development program for logistics industry.The construction of evaluation index system is the core work, this paper analyzes the systematic structure of the regional logistics industry, concludes five factors to the competitiveness of the regional logistics industry. The five factors are enterprise development, the level of infrastructure/equipment, the level of logistics information, economic base, social environment and policy. To these factors as the evaluation criteria of the competitiveness of the regional logistics industry, this paper establishes an evaluation index system of the competitiveness of regional logistics industry by the index selection principle. In this process, considering information overlap which come from too many index, this paper filters some index by principal components analysis, and optimizes the evaluation index system.This paper also analyzes and summarizes the evaluation methods of evaluation index system, selects multilevel fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method and establishes an evaluation model of the competitiveness of the regional logistics industry, then combines with the development of logistics industry of 12 regions in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, verifies the effect of the evaluation index system and method.
