Configuration software is meaning in the field of software, according to the applied objects and control of tasks the operator sets process of user application software. Shortly,configuration software is "application generator". With control automation technology, the communication technology of the rapid development, the software is becoming recently in the field of monitoring is very active part. Configuration software in the field of industrial control is an important development tools, along with the rapid development of automation industry, configuration software in which also plays a more and more important role, about the configuration software development and research also has the certain theoretical significance and practical value.configuration software is a necessary and important development tool, with the rapid development of automation industry, the configuration software in which also played an increasingly important role. It is in this context, the paper was wrritten.This paper describes the present situation and development direction of configuration software, Widely absorbs the essence of previous studies,and finally summarized a framework of configuration software design and realized the graphical interface configuration subsystem function by using Visual C++6.0 and structure of multiple Doc/View. In the design of graphical interface configuration subsystem, we mainly use the object-oriented thinking. All the pixel are stored in a vector form. First define a pixel base class, and then on the basis of it, we design a serief of subclasses. There are some basic graphics, such as line, rectangle and so on. There are also some complex graphics, for example, bitmap, stick figure, trend diagram. Meanwhile,the software should have basic function of graphic editing. The properties of graphic include color, width of line and so on. Besides, the software realized the function of moving, amplification, narrow. This paper introduces the design of the storage of data structure, use ADO connection relation database technology, so as to achieve the collection data storage function, and can print from defination of statements, for reference. In communication subsystem, this paper introduces many kinds of communication technology,such as OPC and so on, we can thought of the future of configuration of communication.this paper defines the basic design of the data communication format, realize communication function.This article also describes the part of the knowledge of the database, select the ODBC data source connection, enabling a data read. The software has characteristics of good openness and strong scalability, laies a solid foundation for the later research on the subject.
