Abstract

The essay is based on the summery of former research achievements. From the persp ective of overall fitness and the building of socialist new countryside. Take countryside physical activities as a main concern. Adopting the document and material method, questionnaire research method, interview method, logical analyses method andmath -physics statistic method. Analyzing the development status of countryside physical activities and tertiary physical education as well as the problems appears in current tertiary physical education.The general status of the countryside physical activities in our nation is comparatively less developed. Specifically show as follows: those in the countryside who take physical activities occupy a small proportion of the whole population; the awareness of taking physical activities has not fostered in most of peasants’ mind; the shortage of physical activities sites and facilities in countryside; the physical activities which could be carry out in countryside is comparatively few; there is a critical shortage of organizing and managing talents in countryside activities, etc. thus lead to the development of countryside physical activities lack of education basis and technical support, which is difficult for it to form a scientific theory system and troublesome to find out the breakthrough point. So, the countryside physical activities develop slowly and stay at form without true expert. The basis of solving all these problems is to develop school physical education, especially the physical education in higher education institutions. Nowadays, the public physical activities and professional physical education in varies higher education institutions of our nation haven not take countryside physical activities into consideration. Moreover, they have not do the teaching and set up courses according to countryside physical activities. By dialectical analysis of the inner connection between the development of countryside physical activities and tertiary physical education. This essay demonstrate the existing of the relationship of promoting respectively between tertiary physical education and countryside physical activities. The existing of the dialectical relationship proves that the tertiary physical education serves the development of physical activities in countryside not only necessary but also feasible. Generally speaking the tertiary physical education in our nation is developing rapidly, but the connection with social physical activities, especially the connection with the countryside physical activities is not close enough, even separate. The students cultivate by current tertiary physical education is lack of social knowledge and the ability of adaptation. They also lack of the ability of creativity and general analysis. These become the bottleneck for PE major student to adapt to the society, and it is harmful for the development of social physical activities especially countryside physical activities. If tertiary physical education wants to make more contributions to the social development. Reform must be taken according to its current situation. The reform of tertiary physical education conclude follow contents: establish physical-activities-demonstrating village rely on higher education institutions; reform the content of courses in tertiary physical education as well as reform the mode of after-class physical activities; reform the way of internship and the guiding direction of physical education. Help to forming the unification of physical education in higher institution both in city and countryside. Take advantage of tertiary education resources and establish the training base for physical activities instructors. Founding academic research organizations of countryside physical activities in higher education institution, etc. We should focus on these aspects to find out the methods and tactics to help tertiary physical education serves the development of physical activities in countryside.
