Abstract


Some currently arising new situations and problems pose great challenges to the security and stability of some higher vocational colleges. In this case, this paper tries surveying the safety situation and the potential problems, within and without the campus of higher vocational colleges in Fujian. In order to provide some basic material for theoretical research and practice, it also touches the research of success and difficulties in security work and gives some ideas of what the teachers and students real views are on potential safety concerns around them. The author investigates four representative higher vocational colleges in Fujian, by sending out 800 questionnaires, discussing informally with rear-service personnel concerned, professional teachers and students from different grades. The investigation shows that the status quo of the security and stability in higher vocational colleges is gratifying. All these colleges pay full attention to the work of the campuses’ security and stability. To make an effort to contribute to the building of a harmonious campus, in the meantime, they adhere that the safety promotes the development and the development ensures the safety.The paper makes a thorough inquiry of how to ensure the campus’ security and stability and build harmonious campuses jointly in higher vocational colleges from introducing several aspects as follows: Establishing the Long-term Mechanism of Maintainning the Security and Stability in Campus; Strengthening the Ideological and Political Education of the Postgraduate; Reinforcing the Safety and Legal Publicity and Increasing Investment in Safety Facilities; Increasing Service Consciousness, Solving the Students Practical Problems and Laying a Good Foundation of Safety; Strengthening Mental Health Education of Students and Ensuring Young Students’ Healthy Growth; Extending Network Security Education and Guiding Students to Be Civilized Internet Users; Introducing Comprehensive Regulation and Improving Public Security Order around the Campuses.
