Abstract


Many projects are confronted with two kinds of status: fail or challenged by many project problems. The same situation has existed in many telecom engineering projects. Therefore, using appropriate knowledge and method to enhance project management, reduce the possibility of project failure, are the key factors that need to be valued by project team.First of all, the thesis analyzes the reasons why a telecom engineering project success or fail. And then, some ideas and tools that come from three kinds of methodologies: Six Sigma, lean and agile are introduced into project management for telecom engineering project. Introduction of such methodologies are gave, and using such ideas and tools in project are discussed. Finally, an actual case of telecom engineering project management is discussed. By analyzing such case, the thesis explains how traditional project management can be promoted by using Six Sigma, lean and agile project management ideas and tools. In fact, these three methodologies are powerful for promoting telecom engineering project management, which has been confirmed in the case.The results of the thesis are useful for those working in project management field, such as project manager and project team member. At the same time, I hope this thesis is helpful to use it in other type of project and it can be served as catalyst in the project management.
