Abstract


Textile and apparel industry is one of the pillar industries in China, The United States occupy an important position in China’s textile and apparel export market. However, China has suffered frequent U.S. trade remedy in recent years. This paper analyzes the history of Chinese textile and apparel export trade and its important position, quantitative data of recent years to show Chinese textile and apparel exports to the United States market. On the basic of Elaborating at the United States trade remedy measures and related market management agencies , we can fully understand the United State’s legislation on trade remedy measures and its discriminatory to China, and the reason why it easy to encounter the U.S. trade remedy.From an Empirical Analysis, before the end of“the Memorandum of Understanding on Sino-US textiles and apparel trade”, The United States from all walks of life have been carried out various measures to deal with. In this situation, to ensure a healthy and sustainable development of Chinese textile and apparel industry, The paper put forward the countermeasures that the Chinese government, textile and garment industry associations and enterprises should take. such as the government policy-making, set up of early industry warning system, market diversification, development of own brand, industrial structure adjustment and upgrading of the system, a boost to the management of enterprises.
