Abstract

As known to all, Marxist Literary Theory System is always dominant in China’s Literary Theory Field. The formation of Chinese modern literary concept system, to a certain degree, is just the formation and development of Chinese Marxist Literary Concept System. Originated in the 1920s, Chinese Marxist Literary Theory System has close contact with the Soviet Marxist Literary Theory. For political reasons, the Soviet Union was chosen as role model in China, as well as their theoretical weapon——Marxist. Chinese Literary Theory as China’s scientific revolutionary guiding ideology also couldn’t be independent outside the context of the revolutionary times. So it also chooses the Soviet Literary Theory. Therefore, the origin of Chinese modern literary theory must have great links to the Soviet Marxist Literary Theory. Chinese Marxist Literary Theory born in such a political context, and as a result, its early political color can be imagined.Basing on the development of Literary theory and the different context of various periods of our country and the Soviet Union, a review and research has been done on the development of some core categories which are introduced from the Soviet Union between 1920s and 1980s. The review and summary on history always take a lot of gains to us. From the history, the paper has reached a conclusion that the Socialist Realism Theory, which is dominant between 1940s and 1950s in China, is just the rudiment of Chinese Marxist Literary Theory. Social Relation Theory and Image Reflection Theory about Art Characteristics, both of which are derived from Plekhanov’s View about Literature, are going to be instructive to the phenomenon that Chinese Literature Creation separate from the social life. An emphasis on Literature’s affinity to the people shouldn’t be abolished today. It is a powerful correction to the Elitism Cultural Standard View in modern society. Tracing to the history of ideology in Literary Theory make us know more clearly about the dispute about Literary Theory of Aesthetic Ideology. The paper has drawn a conclusion at last that Literature has multi-attributes such as authenticity, tendentiousness, objectivity, aesthetic, ideology, class character, affinity to people, practicability and so on. These attributes have different emphasis in different historical stages. The class struggle as the outline to the special era of China pays a disastrous price. The Socialist Realism Theory has gone to the end of the road after about twenty years’ruling in the Chinese Literary Theory Field. We should learn the lesson that going too far is as bad as not going far enough. Critical Realism although seems to be a historical concept, its critical spirit is more important in nowadays commercial age which is full of material desires everywhere. As a result, the paper has made a review and research on the Classic Marxist Literary from a historical perspective more comprehensively and correctly. It will help the researcher come to realize the Marxist Literary Theory is a discourse system full of tension. After clarifying the concepts and the development, the paper brings the Marxism Ecological Aesthetics into Marxist Literary Theory System, with the purpose of solving its problem such as separating from the literature reality which brings the development bottleneck to the theory system.The discussion and research in this paper is aimed at clarifying the relationship between Chinese modern Literary Theory Conceptual System and the Soviet Marxist Literary Theory. From the historical perspective, we should draw experiences and lessons, regain the worthy part of the former theory and discard the polarized tendency of the old system in the process of theory development. We should emphasize on the inclusiveness feature and practicality character of Chinese Marxist Literary Theory, promote its development with the times and updating with literature phenomenon. The research should seek growth point for the theory and enrich content of Marxist Literary Theory System with Chinese characteristics. so as to satisfy the requirements of the times and better guide the Chinese Literature to the healthy development.
