Abstract


China’s open door policy has accelerated the pace of urbanization,with the rapid development of urban and the expansion of the city size,the old urban spatial structure is not adjusting,then a lot of problems become to the city.The paper puts the Xi’an cit’s structure as the study subject.It focuses on the contributing factors of the Xi’an Weiyang new city center,and provides a vision to its development of positioning and urban master layout.At first,the thesis dicusses the relationship of the urban structure’s expansion and city center.In the beginning,the city’s development is around single center to out ring,then it becomes the multi-center structure.This paper reviewes the western and Chinese urban structures,introduces the characteristic of the urban constrcction from the opening policy,with the typical examplies like Beijing and Qindao,it research on the significant impact on historcal heritage protection and administration center’s moving.The paper demonstrates the expansion of Xi’an as a captial and a regional central city,the single center is its character.Base on the city function and structure in four times of Xi’an master plans,analyzing the development trends of the present Xi’an city,researching on the problems in the city development,and the importance of new central town.Base on introducing the city administration center moved to Weiyang new city center,the transport infrastructure’s construction,it is important to plan the new city center in Weiyang town.Base on the above points,the new city center brings much more positive impacts.From the view of optimize the urban structure,Weiyang new city center optimizes the urban layout,ease the urban fuction of old districts,it brings power to North town’s development and produces the new growth pole.From te view of historic conservation,constructing Weiyang metro center could decrease the old town’s building density and population density.It helps to protect the heritage and urban character.Base on the analyzing of Weiyang new city center’s current status,researching on its policy the development of the new center should use the pattern of effect between government and market,TOD and SOD development strategy,then it provides a vision to the planning of Weiyang new city center and its core zone.
