Objection:To research the effects of Yi Zhi Ling with Cognitive-behavioral therapy treating Post-stroke depression.Methods:This is a randomized,single-blind research.60 cases selected with the standard of post-stroke depression were randomly divided into 2 groups, 30 cases into the treatment group,30 cases into control group.Both groups are on the basis of the whole treatment with cognitive behavioral therapy; the treatment group is combined with Yi Zhi Ling one dose of the herbal per day,divided into two halves and given in the morning and the evning each with 100ml(both decocting by Clifford Hospital);the control group is treated with deanxit twice a day,morning and evening,one pill each.Both group has the course of treatment for 4 weeks.Assess the patients in both group with the the Hamilton Depression Rating Scale(24),TCM Syndrome score table,and neurological deficit scores Scale(MESS) by scores at the 4th weekend before and after the treatment,and evaluate the effects by the change of the scores.At the end of the trial,CONCISE STATISTICS2000 statistical software is used to build up a database for statistical analysis to compare the effect of both groups.Results:After statistical analysis,before the treat,the two groups including general information on gender,age,course of illness,the nature of stroke, stroke location,Hamilton Depression Rating Scale score,MESS,and TCM Syndrome Rating Scale score,have no significant differences.After 4 week-treatment, the Hamilton Depression Rating Scale score,MESS,TCM Syndrome score is better improved in the treatment group than the control group(P＜0.01).In the comparison of the clinical efficacy of depression,in the treatment group, the total efficiency is 93.4%;and in the control group,the total efficiency is 83.3%;by the statistical analysis,there is statistical significant difference(u=2.1857,p＜0.01).Compare the neurological effects,In the treatment group,the total efficiency is 96.7%,and in the control group,the total efficiency is 80.0%,with statistical analysis,there is statistical significant difference(u=2.9179,p＜0.01);compare the effects of TCM Syndrome, the treatment group’s efficiency is 93.4%,and the control group’s is 70.0%, with statistical analysis,there is statistical significant difference(u= 3.4267,p＜0.01).Conclusion:This research shows that Yi Zhi Ling with cognitive behavior therapy in treatment of post-stroke depression in patients with depression can be improved to promote the recovery of neurologic impairment;and is better than the treatment of deanxit with cognitive behavioral therapy in resent days, which shows the advantage of the complex prescription of Chinese medicine involved treatment for somatopsychic disturbance such as Post-stroke depression,with safe and reliable efficacy and clinical value.
