Abstract


Although the unfavorable objective condition is a reason of the great gap of economic development between Western China and Eastern China, subjective cognitive mistake area in economic development is also one of the major factors of the gap. These cognitive mistake areas severely restrict the economic development of Western China. The gaps of economic development in other countries and regions in the world all without exception prove this. Therefore, to develop economy, one important link is just to correct the lagging or wrong cognitive concept. This is because that the factor of all is human factor. Thus, this paper starts with the cognitive concept and characteristics of people in Western China to analyze their influence on economic development of Western China.This paper expounds this mainly from four aspects. First analyze their relations, and then proceed to analyze the effect of correcting cognitive concept on economic development of Western China. Then analyze some specific cognitive mistake areas existing in economic development of Western China and their hazards. At last, refer to the theories of ecological economics, circular economics, etc. and bring forward specific strategies and proposals for economic development of Western China. Based upon such an analysis, this paper holds that we must correct the concepts of planned economy, governing by men and authoritative management, foster the consciousness of market economy, human capital, ecological economics and circular economics, so that economy of Western China can be really developed. Therefore, this paper starts with these aspects to find out where the cognitive mistake areas exist in the economic development of Western China and how to eliminate them.
