Abstract

Objective: 1. Observation the acupuncture combined Acupoint Application with the changes of the clinical efficacy of the treatment of facial paralysis and electrophysiological indicators; 2. Investigate the therapeutic mechanism of the therapy; 3. Provide a theoretical and clinical basis Acupoint Application of acupuncture combined with facial paralysis. Method: facial paralysis and 50 patients were randomly divided into the treatment group and 25 patients in the control group of 25 patients in the treatment group acupuncture combined with Acupoint Application control group were treated with acupuncture therapy; acupuncture acupoints, methods and treatment regimens are the same. Were observed in symptom score, the facial nerve motor conduction latency and amplitude changes in the blink reflex (R1 wave) latency. Results: 1. GENERAL INFORMATION: The two groups in gender, age, disease duration, ipsilateral, syndrome, symptom score and so no significant difference (P gt; 0.05), comparable. 2. Clinical efficacy: treatment group, 15 cases were cured, 6 cases were markedly improved in 2 cases, 2 cases, an effective rate of 92%; the control group, 10 cases were cured, effective in 4 cases, 4 cases improved and 7 cases, the effective rate 72%, the two groups have a significant difference (P lt; 0.05), the treatment group than the control group. The symptom score comparison: before and after treatment comparison of the two groups have a significant meaning: the treatment group (P lt; 0.01), the control group (P lt; 0.05). After treatment, the difference was statistically significant (P lt; 0.05), the method in both groups, and the treatment group than the control group in the improvement of symptoms. TCM type treatment comparison: two groups of syndromes treatment, better treatment group, the total effective rate in the treatment group was higher than in the cold and wind-heat type, but the difference was not statistically significant (P gt; 0.05). Changes in the electrophysiological indicators: (1) the facial nerve motor conduction incubation period of comparison: the two groups before treatment, the difference does not have a statistically significant (P gt; 0.05), comparable. The two groups before and after treatment itself comparison, the differences were significant significance (P lt; 0.05); After treatment, the two groups, the difference was statistically significant (P lt; 0.05), the two treatment methods can be shortened facial nerve motor conduction The incubation period, the treatment group than the control group. (2) the volatility of the facial nerve motor conduction comparison: the two groups before treatment, the difference does not have a statistically significant (P gt; 0.05), comparable. The two groups before and after treatment itself comparison, the differences were significant significance (P lt; 0.05); After treatment, the difference was significant (P lt; 0.05), namely the two treatment methods can improve the movement of the facial nerve conduction volatility in the treatment group than the control group. (3) blink reflex R1 wave latency comparison: the two groups before treatment, the difference does not have a statistically significant (P gt; 0.05), comparable. Before and after treatment comparison is very significant with sexual significance (P lt; 0.01), control group treatment before and after contrast there are significant with sexual significance (P lt; 0.05); after treatment, two groups of comparison, the difference has a significant meaning (P lt; 0.05) two treatment methods can be shortened incubation period of blink reflex R1 wave; treatment group was significantly better than the control group. Conclusion: Acupuncture combined with the clinical efficacy exact Acupoint Application of facial paralysis, and the effects were higher than those of the acupuncture group. Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Point Application than that acupuncture can improve the degree of recovery of facial nerve function better, more significantly improve facial nerve motor conduction velocity (latency, amplitude) and blink reflex (R1) wave latency indicators. Acupuncture and acupoint applicator are two ways to share, to coordinate with each other, promote each other and co-produced \
