The Integrated Geological Database Management System is the foundation for carrying out researches of special topics, which offers an uniform and standard platform for tasks of researching, prospecting, mining and informationization and makes these tasks finished more quickly and efficiently. According to the characteristics and objective of the tasks, desired data view and source from the Integrated Geological Database is a good selection.This paper deals with the data arrangement, classification, abstraction, coding and digitization for the electronic archives, paper files and other forms data (such as audio, video and multimedia, etc.) of the original geological, remote sensing and geophysical and geochemical prospecting data at the work of geology and mineral products. Integrated geological database is divided into Geological Foundational Database and Geological application database.Based on the object-oriented programming idea, the paper, using ADO.NET data accessing technique, C# program language and Microsoft Visual Studio.NET technique platform, develops an integrated geological Foundational database manage system is developed to realize functions such as system catalog class management, map management, document management, table management and system management, etc. Furthermore, different rights of accessing and operating are set for different people to guarantee security in system is tight.In order to research the thematic application based on comprehensive geological database, and provide prospecting exploration, mining production, and decision-making management services for mining companies, this paper uses integrated geological foundation database management system for basic platform to develop integrated geological application database management system which includes geography, digital geologic map, geological work extent, orefield, typical mineral, geophysical prospecting, geochemical prospecting, remote sensing, and drilling nine subsystems. Geographic database application system classifies and manages geographic data according to the project, establishes a database corresponding to geographical scales, achieves the management of spatial data, attribute data, documentation and so on, all which are related to the amplitude geographic data, and realizes map browsing, layers control, map inquiry etc. Drilling database application system could manage multiple drilling data related to the project, automatically generate drilling histogram, and realizes the browsing and inquiry of the related map, whole original figure inquires, any range cutting inquires, drilling histogram inquiry through the map and other functions.This paper publishes map service by using ASP.Net and MapGIS K9 IMS, and develops the browsing and inquiring map data system, which realize the geologic map browsing (such as zoom in, zoom out, translation, etc.), inquiry, layered display, legend show, and other functions.In summary the Development of Geological Database Management System is foundations of the mine information construction, and is a beneficial exploration and the practice to establish the digital mine.
