Abstract


From the date of birth of Chinese military movies and TV drama,the course of its development has been accompanied by the ideology of totem worship.Hero worship, evolved from the totem worship,manifested as character images being shaped over-ideally, serving for certain political utility,and being deified,conceptualized and symbolized intentionally or unintentionally.This situation can be described as the personality consciousness being overshadowed by large scenes.The cultural origin is the hero complex、deletion of individuality and political utility which have been existing for thousands of years.Such historical facts have effects on the development of movies and television drama of army,with the result that the characters on the screen were further from artistic reality,that hero worship prevailed,and that heroism tendency became the remarkable characteristics.Until recent years,such trend has got some change with positive signs that the concept and practices of creation began to return to reality,creators’ grass-roots awareness has been enhanced,and the pan-socialized theme of military movie and television drama rivised the hero worship to a certain extent.In this paper,the use of text analysis methods,combined with analysis of induction and assessment methods,the preface concerns the development vein of army movies and TV plays; chapter1 discusses the various manifestations of totem worship;chapter2 analyses the historical and realistic reasons about the phenomenon of totem worship;chapter3 and chapter4 investigate the new tendency of military movies and TV drama in recent years from the view of artistic techniques and creation concept;Chapter5 explores the regression of humane nature from the angle of the creators’ intensive grass-roots awareness,and this chapter6 studies the future trend of the movies and TV drama of army on the background of pan-socialization.
