Abstract

Slope stability is an important subject in Geotechnical Engineer, the researches on which in the three-dimensional analysis is of great application value. This thesis does a further research on the calculation theory of safety factor for convex curve slopes. The traditional limit equilibirum theory overlooks the forces to the two sides of the soil stripes. The forces to the two sides of a soil stripe would result in a radial direction resultant force, which has great infuence on the stability of the slopes. Using The Sweden Arc Method and The Bishop Method as theoretical foundation, this thesis takes the influence of the convex curve slope radium as well as the forces to the two sides of the soil stripe to the slope stability into consideration. Meanwhile, this thesis choses a three-dimensional circular sector soil mass to do force analysis. Under static equilibrium condition, a new formula of convex curve slope safty factor is derived.Within the three slope samples, each of them adopts three different slope radium. Based on the combination of potential slip curve theory and finite element analysis, the safety factors of the most dangerous sliding surfaces are obtained respectively. Compared with the calculation results of the convex curve slope safety factor formula in the third chapter, these two safety factors are almost the same. The comparation of the safety factors of curve slopes with different radium demonstrates that:the safety factors decrease with the increasing of slope curve radium; the smaller the slope curve radium is, the faster the slope stability safety factor change; the radium of slope curve does not have much influence on the location of the most dangerous glide plane.
