Abstract


Stendhal, based on the autobiography of innovation as the breakthrough point, this paper studies the autobiography of Henry cloth Lyra writing characteristics, and on this basis, discusses the biography and Rousseau's "confessions", in the process of research, summarizes the stendhal's contribution to modern autobiography. First part of this paper analyzes the domestic and foreign scholars research present situation and selected topic basis of stendhal works. The first chapter analysis the author emphatically how to utilize the visual and auditory two senses in his autobiography, brings about a lot of memories. The second chapter focuses on the Henry cloth Lyra has carried on the comparative study on the level of text, from the aspects of language, writing one by one analysis this autobiographical writing characteristics. The third chapter compares the stendhal and Rousseau to compare different ways of description of same type events, further revealing stendhal make innovation in the biography. Stendhal, like the novel, the biography also has carried on the bold attempt to create a style different from contemporary autobiography works, its basic characteristics embodied in rather than part of the loss of aesthetic feeling, also want to stick to search for the true self. This new way of writing is of great significance for the development of modern autobiography.
