Abstract

The empirical study on Present Situation and international competitive situation of women's pole vault sports. Research methods, using a combination of internal and external research perspective: Internally, the first line of the national pole vault coaches and athletes survey investigated a number of Chinese female pole vaulter, level of education, age structure, exercise level technical overview of the geographical distribution of the project, the equipment and the team coach profile, and then analyzes the constraining factors that affect the popularity of the project; retrieved through the network on the outside, professional literature, interpretation of the women's pole vault world in recent years athletic level and pattern of international competition, on the basis of analysis of the competitive strength of Chinese Women Pole Vault in Asia and worldwide, to provide advice on strategic approach for our women's pole vault project in 2008 and the recent future. This study is based on the large number of empirical survey data, conducted in-depth interviews and a number of senior experts and scholars, some theoretical guidance and reference for the popularization and development of women's pole vault sports. Through research, can be broadly draw the following conclusions: 1. Athletes surveyed, 73% of the age distribution of 16-21 years old population is a relatively young team before training age in this survey improved in the gap between Chinese and foreign athletes, take-off part of the run-up speed is still the focus on the direction of our breakthrough level. 2 academic qualifications of athletes has improved, but lack professional knowledge learning and learning through a single, in addition to communicating with coaches should be appropriate to broaden learning channels. Coaches, education improvement over the previous few years, the age structure of the coaches is reasonable, coached the shortest life of 5 years, the longest 44 years. 3 of the main factors to affect the women's pole vault penetration is: First, the lack of economic investment; Penetration is still insufficient, particularly the Southwest and Northwest; athletes taught cycle: athletes selection difficulties, mainly due to the coaches understanding of the selection. In the pattern of international competition, Russia, the United States, Poland, with the competitiveness of the overall strength and leader among the first group.
