Abstract


Since the Ministry of Education and the State Sport General Administration of Five Ministries issued "The Notification of Organizing Millions of Students Joining in Sports" on 2006, national wide schools including Hunan vocational colleges have carried sunshine sport programs out. Over the past years, school sports had great changes. Hundreds of millions of sunshine sport programs had brought new vitality to schools and provided a good opportunity to a comprehensive reform on physical education system. However, sunshine sports may conflict with the original campus culture, school sport management, teaching system, evaluation and vocational college characteristics. In order to promote the comprehensive implementation of the sunshine sports in higher vocational institutions and provide theoretical guidance on physical education, this paper investigated the implementation of the sunshine sports in some Hunan vocational colleges. Research was carried out mainly through on-site surveys, literature review, expert interviews, and by using some mathematical statistics etc.A survey was first conducted in some Hunan vocational colleges. The survey results showed that the sunshine sports in higher vocational institutions were at a state of worrying, due to poor sport knowledge in teachers, irrational teaching structure, low research level, serious shortage of sport space and equipments, and lack of students’ interests in sports. These factors seriously affected the implementation and long-term development of the sunshine sports in Hunan vocational colleges. Focusing on these existing problems in Hunan vocational college sport education, this paper presented some valuable suggestions for the in-depth implementation of the sunshine sports via the previously mentioned research work such as perferting mechanism, enhancing process monitoring, enhancing investment, increasing equipments, building the campus atmosphere, enriching extracurricular sports, reforming the curriculum, improving the quality of teaching; perfecting structure of teachers,enhancing physical monitor, instructing science fitness. According to the features of vocational colleges, we discuss the plan for "exercise every day for an hour" from several aspects such as sport square sharon, sport mass organization, sport club, starting sports professional module 61ass and option class .
