Abstract


Of 2007 to 2008, from March to July , artificial nest kestrel chicks in Jilin Province Zuojia Nature Reserve growth of the system. The study includes : kestrel the fledgling body weight and organ growth and development of ; different number of brood nestling growth and development ; the different hatching order nestling growth and development ; nestling growth and development of different gender . The nestling weight growth curve into the S-type , 5 -day-old to enter the fast-growing , growth reached peak at 26 days of age , after weight loss . The growth curve of the body length is close to a straight line S-type . Bill length, tarsus toe , middle finger, claw - long growth since birth, entered a rapid growth phase, completed ahead of growth and development relative to other organs . Flight organ ( wing length, tail length ) in the initial stage of growth , growth retardation, 8 - day - old entered a rapid growth phase, S-type growth curve as close to a straight line . Weight, body length, wing , tail growth for logistic curve fitting . In the growth and development of the different number of brood chicks study found that with the increase in the number of brood , nestling growth inflection point after the extension , the maximum growth rate . The the kestrel chicks asynchronous hatching , hatching young on the same day , then three young late 1 to 5 days . The growth rate of chicks and hatching has , late in the fourth young chicks born in weight and organ growth inflection point after the extension , the maximum growth rate . Male and female kestrel was dimorphism . Male and female nestling growth law is significantly different . Female nestling weight and organ development than the male chicks in advance , the maximum rate is higher than the male chicks . Female nestling weight of the various stages in the growth and organ growth parameters are larger than the male .
