Abstract

Paper industry is currently the treatment of COD in China and the world issues of common concern , to find a simple, low cost and good treatment effect approach is the key to solving the problem . This experiment compares the green algae ( Scenedesmus small jersey algae, Laiha Chlamydomonas reinhardtii , Chlorella vulgaris , Chlorella pyrenoidosa , solid ball algae, empty sp ) , diatoms ( Cyclotella , boat type algae ) , medium Euglena , Euglena gracilis and Chaetoceros muelleri ( marine diatoms ) for papermaking wastewater COD removal capability. The results showed that the diatom Navicula and Cyclotella for papermaking wastewater removal efficiency of COD highest cultured for 18 days , the removal rate reached 87.09% and 88.18% . Meanwhile, also studied the different initial algae concentration , different culture and different initial temperatures of papermaking wastewater COD concentration of COD removal rate . It was found that when the initial algae concentration , temperature and the initial papermaking wastewater COD concentration was 10 6 cells · mL -1 , 20 ℃, concentration (152mg / L ) when removal best . At the same time , by choice of diatoms as physical and chemical conditions of different algae species experiments , the present study also examined whether the addition of Si and Si concentration of the element added will affect the size of its effect on the growth of diatoms papermaking wastewater COD removal efficiency. The results show that , Si elements not obvious. The results for further research papermaking wastewater treatment process laid the base of algae
