Abstract

Wood material is very popular for its unique physical and mechanical properties and excellent environment for learning characteristics, widely used in homes and public places. Flammable wood materials, the fire posed a serious threat to people's life and property safety. Thus, the construction is simple, low cost intumescent flame retardant coatings came into being. The formation of uniform, dense layer of carbon foam expands when the intumescent fire retardant coating baked by fire, can effectively protect the substrate, reduce fire hazards. Amino resins and poly (vinyl acetate) resin composition of the matrix of the composite film, the introduction of guanylurea phosphate as a low temperature dehydration catalyst and the composite catalyst with ammonium polyphosphate, pentaerythritol charring agent, melamine and as blowing agent constitute the expansion of water-based modified amino resin fire-retardant paint, by orthogonal test optimization formulations, flame time of 1418s, expansion in multiples of 70 times or more. The rotational rheometer homemade intumescent waterborne modified amino resin retardant coatings rheological properties of test results for stencilled construction, and to meet the long-term storage and transport of low shear rate environment, easily deposited cohesion. Cone calorimeter heat radiated power of 50kw · m -2 , the gas volume flow rate of 24 L · s -1 homemade intumescent waterborne modified amino resin fire retardant coatings, commercially available flame-retardant intumescent waterborne coatings, film-forming resin coated plywood (Code C, A, B) and plywood vegetarian plate (S-JHB) combustion performance comparison study The results show that the C heat release significantly reduced smoke release significantly reduce the time a substantial extension of the ablation resistance. Thermal analysis (TG, DSc), infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), scanning electron microscopy and spectroscopy of online analytical analysis (SEM-EDAX) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and other methods, the formation of the coating and its combustion carbon layer structure and the nature of the system, the results show that the homemade intumescent waterborne modified amino resin retardant coatings reduce the rate of weight loss, the char yield is 2.6 times that of the film-forming resin, composite dehydration catalyst in different temperature ranges. interaction is good synergy between the intumescent system with film-forming resin. Coating after combustion into carbon, wherein disappeared or significantly reduced in the majority of organics, the surface of the carbon layer, and the depth structure mainly composed of C, O, P, and N elements, but on the surface having more of the N elements, composed of dense The foam structure, and the surface is closed, thereby exhibiting excellent flame retardancy and smoke suppression performance.
