Abstract

The industrial civilization promoted the social progress, but it brought the negative impact at the same time, which led to environmental pollution. Presently, the environmental problems became the focus in the world, and then every country also contended to the political and economic issues. On the one hand, countries around the world took some measures to cope with the environmental problems. For example, they developed the new energy, adjusted the industrial and traded structures, saved energy and established laws and regulations. On the other hand, the countries in the world, considering that the measures might impact to their countries’economies, cooperated and constrained each other in the environmental problems. In fact, they intended to the tremendous economic interests behind the problems. However, the measures not only benefit to the world environment, but also they can promote the world economy growing. As president Obama said, who is leading in the clean energy area in the 21st century, who will lead the global economy. In 2009, global environmental issues have been pushed to the peak in the Copenhagen conference. Although this conference did not have a substantive result, we can see how seriously every country competed for the interests. In fact the national struggles concerning environmental problems intended to the economic interests, such as the balance of saving energy and reducing emission’obligations between the developed countries and the developing countries and the technical supports provided by the developed countries to the developing countries.In the context of the global environment, international trade becomes a major area of the competing economic interests around the world. International trade is an important channel between countries. Import and export products including carbon dioxide pass one country to another. For example, one country export her products to overseas, but she bears a lot of greenhouse gas emissions at the same time,especially our country. Since the reform and opening up, export trade promoted economic forward. Then a huge international trade means whether china is a huge carton emissions’country. Therefore, we study the relationship of the export and the carton dioxide emissions and the effects of the carton dioxide emissions to china’s economic development that will give us some advices in theories and practices, such as developing china’s economics, adjusting industrial and trade restructures and so on. In order to reflect a more real relationship between trade and carton emissions, I will take“embodied carton emission”as a measuring object. This article follows a specific analytical framework: first, it is an introduction part. In this section, I describe the writing background and significance, research methods, innovations and current studies of home and abroad. Second, it describes the theories about measuring embodied carton emissions and effects. In this section, I describes input-output theory and LMDI index as the basic theories for later sections. Third, it is a positive analysis of embodied carton. I count every department of embodied carton emissions in export by input-output theory and analyze the higher carton emissions departments. Fourthly, it is the effects of the embodied carton emissions in export. I analyze the effects factors and degrees of embodied carton emissions. Fifth, it is conclusion and recommendation part. I give some policies and advices on controlling embodied carbon emissions, in order to provide a reference for developing our trade.
