Abstract
Stumpage using stress wave nondestructive testing for the gradual rise in recent years, the research focus , including defect detection and evaluation of standing timber stumpage mechanical properties , the latter of artificial Linying Lin and increase its economic significance . At present, very little research in this area . In this paper, mechanical properties evaluation of standing timber plantations for the purpose of standing in for the stress wave propagation mechanism provided in basic research . Using fresh pine logs felled U.S. stumpage simulation , measurement of different cross-sectional grid node stress wave arrival time . Subsequently, the software 3D Field rendering two -dimensional wave curve sections of logs and analysis, using test data processing software MATLAB programming construct stress wave three -dimensional wave surface. The standing surface stress wave three -dimensional wave visualization, the first time at home and abroad . This conclusion is : the ability to take advantage of this test method and related software and draw a two-dimensional stress wave curves and 3D wave surface. Initial stress wave propagation for the three -dimensional wave , and gradually become the timber axis perpendicular to the surface wavefront quasi-one -dimensional wave .
