Abstract


In order to investigate the mechanism of different ornamental plants purify formaldehyde ability differences , the study selected 21 species in six types of blade type , morphology and anatomy and gas exchange characteristics of two aspects , using scanning electron microscopy , paraffin sections and portable photosynthesis system Li -6400 method for the determination of plant photosynthesis , respiration rate and of plant stomatal characteristics , the relationship between the leaf anatomical structure and photosynthesis , respiration characteristics and plant formaldehyde removal capacity studies, the following conclusions : 1 . different plants exist in the purification of formaldehyde capacity than the big difference , its blades type certain regularity : succulents and Agavaceae lanceolate hard leathery leaves plants purify formaldehyde relatively poor quality of the grass blades Araceae plants, rubber tree, often Ivy and Anthurium three leathery leaves of plants , of Chlorophytum class as well as a small palm -like plants purify formaldehyde relatively good results , of which the most prominent green Chlorophytum purification capacity . The size of its stomatal density of plants purify formaldehyde ability highly significant correlation , the degree of opening and stomatal conductance, than there is no significant correlation between the area and the transpiration rate . 3 different blade types of plants , leaf anatomical structure differences . Loose , porous structure of leaves is more conducive to absorption and purification plants to formaldehyde . Net photosynthetic rate and plant purification correlation between formaldehyde capacity very significantly , photosynthetic rate , but also to promote the absorption and purification plants to formaldehyde , and respiratory rate and formaldehyde purification capacity is not significant . Compared to the stomatal density , the relationship between the plant net photosynthetic rate of plants purify formaldehyde closer , stomatal density is an important limiting factor .
