Abstract


Since Austin proposed speech acts by Searle further development, speech act has become an important topic in the first and second language acquisition. Speech act is designed to answer the language how to act, and not just refer to things. Searle (2001:16) pointed out that the speech act is the smallest unit in the verbal communication, Since then, scholars have been extensively studied for speaker how to use language to do things, to achieve a behavior, such as commended refused, greeting, apology, etc..
