Abstract


Grammaticalization is a very important aspect of the language change, and it is also one of important topics the contemporary linguistics concerned. Because of the complexity of grammaticalization, we should analyze and systemize reasonably, and select some typical problems.“Jiu”and“Cai”are both active adverbs in structrural words, they are not only used frequently, but also adverbs of the closed class with an significant meaning in completing grammaticalization. Therefore, the study attemps to analyze totally the adverbs“Jiu”and“Cai”on the basis of predecessors in favor of grammaticalization of the adverbs“Jiu”and“Cai”.There are three parts of the study to discourse this question:The first part is to explore the absence of the adverb“Jiu”,we will analyze the absence of the adverb“Jiu”in some aspacts, such as verb, preposition, adverb, conjunction and subjectivity, and we will analyze the contact among them.The second part is to explore the absence of the adverb“Cai”,we will analyze the absence of the adverb“Cai”in some aspacts, such as noun, adjective, adverb and subjectivity, and we will analyze the contact among them and put forward new view.The third part is the major of the study, we will use some method linking diachronic and synchronic research to analyze the similarities and differences of the grammaticalization: to the similarities, we will analyze and discourse in detail in some aspects such as: the source of the absence, syntactic positions, function and lexeme environment and so on; to the differences, we will analyze and discourse in detail in some aspects such as: degradation, generation time, absence mechanism and so on; finally, we will analyze why the“Jiu”and“Cai”are faster than the same kind of words of grammaticalization.
