Abstract


The teaching of reading in high school English reading teaching has been attention to high school English classroom teaching around textbooks expand teaching less information, which the material is often slow to update, the amount of reading, the theme extended surface is narrow. Compared with the teaching materials, English newspapers with the contents of the new, large capacity, diverse themes, strong interest, close to the life, times, as reading materials to stimulate students' enthusiasm for learning, rich teaching resources broaden the channels of the study used to mobilize the enthusiasm of students learning English, so as to nurture students' interest in learning English. In fact, reading comprehension is the interaction between the reader through with article obtain meaningful process. In order to achieve the understanding of the article, readers have to undergo a series of psychological processes in the reading process, the reader is not awakened to the article word for word reading, but to use existing knowledge and integrated information processing strategy articles complexity process. Newspaper Reading teachers fully understand the psychological process of reading comprehension and students 'prior knowledge in reading comprehension, effective reading English newspapers to supplement the teaching of English to improve students' English reading level. Nearly a semester of teaching experiments and survey of students found that significantly enhanced the interest of the students on the reading lessons, reading ability has improved significantly. The authors also pointed out the inadequacies of the study, and made recommendations on the method and direction of future research.
