Abstract


Civic education is increasingly becoming an important part of education in the world. Australia is an earlier implementation of civic education, civic education, especially the development of civic education in primary and secondary schools worldwide attention. The course of development of civic education in primary and secondary schools in Australia has gone through several stages, eventually forming a citizen of Australia featuring educational system. Civic education evaluation also steadily International Evaluation of Educational Achievement (IEA), so as to ensure the smooth implementation of the civic education. Profound explore the successful experience of civic education in primary and secondary schools in Australia, has important practical significance to the development of civic education in our country. The article is divided into six sections: The first section provides an overview of the course of development of the civic education in Australia.
