Abstract

The increasingly serious problem of the greenhouse effect caused by warming has become an important factor impeding global economic and social sustainable development. Reducing greenhouse gas emissions in the implementation of the sustainable development strategy, the core areas. Kyoto Protocol emission reduction targets of the provisions of the developing countries, as developing countries adversely affected by climate change, the Chinese government attaches great importance to the issue of climate change, in 1993, the 2002 United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change \and the Kyoto Protocol. Shanghai is the economic leader and the largest industrial city in China's rapid economic development and energy consumption of fast growth, accompanied by the rise in greenhouse gas emissions. In this context, the paper, the characteristics of the greenhouse gas emissions of the megacities main line, from the systematics and Environmental Studies interdisciplinary perspective, the use of a combination of theoretical research and empirical analysis method to systematically explore the status of greenhouse gas emissions in Shanghai research and emission characteristics, in order to provide a reference for similar areas. Papers in the collection of large amounts of data and combing the study of greenhouse gas emissions at home and abroad on the basis of the summary of all greenhouse gas emissions coefficient to build the megacities greenhouse gas emissions calculation method; In Shanghai, for example, in recent years, Shanghai energy utilization to sort out, to understand the situation of the Shanghai energy consumption overall; analysis of the principal energy use sector carbon dioxide emissions in the calculation of the amount of greenhouse gas emissions from energy use based on the identification of carbon dioxide emissions, the main sectors or industries; analysis Shanghai Energy general characteristics of the use of carbon dioxide emissions and energy-intensive sector carbon emissions characteristics. Explore the impact of the economy, population, urbanization and technological progress on carbon dioxide emissions, which predict the energy use of carbon dioxide emission trends; explore Shanghai potential for reducing greenhouse gas emissions, emission reduction at the same time carry out feasibility analysis; against Shanghai City of greenhouse gas emissions from the status quo to propose practical measures to provide a reference for policy-makers in the formulation of policies. The major contents of study is reflected in the following aspects: (1) focus on the analysis of the status quo of greenhouse gas emissions in Shanghai. Calculation of energy, land use change, people breathe, cement production, sewage and garbage disposal, the amount of greenhouse gas emissions each year, drawn: energy consumption, greenhouse gas emissions, the main sectors of the greenhouse gas emissions from the industrial sector (including power generation ). (2) focuses on the characteristics of the the Shanghai energy use sector carbon dioxide emissions, carbon footprint from energy use and try to pressure the energy consumption of carbon dioxide emissions on the ecological environment. The paper uses the number average the Di's index method LMDI (logarithmic mean the Divisia index), the decomposition of carbon dioxide emissions and the intensity of energy consumption in Shanghai. The study showed that: energy efficiency and energy consumption structure factors causing the decline in carbon dioxide emissions, improve energy efficiency plays a major role: from 2001 to 2006, energy consumption in Shanghai continued growth in carbon dioxide emissions; Population and GDP per capita energy consumption of carbon dioxide emissions growth play a catalytic role, a disincentive to energy and energy efficiency factors. (The 3) thesis STIRPAT to the model to analyze the demographic, economic, urbanization and the impact of carbon dioxide emissions come: to 2006, along with the increase of per capita GDP, the Shanghai energy use CO2 emissions does not appear inverted \Environmental Kuznets Curve; established between carbon dioxide emissions and population, economy, urbanization and technological model; papers set 10 scenarios of population, economy, urbanization and technology, 2010,2015 in Shanghai forecast carbon dioxide emissions in 2020, the results showed that: 2010,2015 and 2020 energy use of carbon dioxide emissions from 167,592,300 to 181,762,700 tons, 186,132,000 tons to 210,004,900 tons, 197,825,800 tons to 241,332,900 tons. (4) The thesis preliminary analysis of greenhouse gas abatement potential in Shanghai, the results show that: the adjustment of energy structure can achieve the absolute amount of greenhouse gas emission reduction, increase the proportion of clean energy use is the most effective method of reducing greenhouse gas emissions. In 2006, for example, a 1% increase in clean energy, can be reduced by about 180 million tons of carbon dioxide equivalent; adjust the industrial structure of the greenhouse gas emission reduction effect is not ideal, in 2006, for example, the tertiary industry increased 1% secondary industry decreased by 1%, a reduction of 12 million tons of carbon dioxide equivalent.
