Abstract

Carbon nanotubes as a new type of nano-materials, due to their unique physical and chemical properties and potential applications in many areas of the background , since the discovery has attracted world wide attention of scientists , research in the field of nanomaterials become a new hot spot . In this paper, catalytic cracking prepared by chemical vapor deposition of carbon nanotubes as adsorbent studied its phenolic substances and substance benzene adsorption behavior , the results showed that: phenolic compounds adsorbed on carbon nanotubes have a physical adsorption characteristics , are free to drive the adsorption process, the adsorption sequence: p-nitrophenol gt; methoxyphenol gt; phenol ; carbon substance benzene adsorption capacity of the order of : toluene gt; benzene gt; nitrobenzene ; mainly by the size of the volume adsorbed adsorbate solubility , adsorption and molecular structure between the adsorbate and adsorbent π-π conjugation decision. Further study of carbon nanotubes heated after firing the original Carbon Nanotubes on the adsorption of p-nitrophenol , the results showed that: heat treated carbon nanotubes NITROPHENOL slightly higher adsorption capacity of carbon nanotube materials .
