Abstract

Cement stabilized macadam base is now widely used in highway construction in the cold areas in China , but it exists cracking shortcomings in actual use . The drought , the temperature difference between day and night , the low temperature for a long time for the whole year is a typical representative of the dry, cold areas in China , In this paper, the characteristics of the environment of the Qinghai Province , focusing on the shrinkage characteristics of cement stabilized crushed stone material strength properties , composition design method study an attempt to further improve the crack resistance of cement stabilized macadam base of the dry, cold areas , improve the road overall road performance . The papers combined experience , theoretical calculations , and dry temperature shrinkage test , Recommended Framework Grading range suitable for cold regions of low shrinkage requirements , as well as method for determining the amount of cement to consider environmental factors . On this basis , the low - temperature strength properties of the skeleton dense graded mixture , it is recommended that the freeze-thaw strength in dry and cold areas of cement stabilized gravel mix design as a strength of the checking , analysis of the early strength admixture principle and qualitative analysis admixture content studied . Ultimately, the paper presents a low shrinkage , dry and cold areas of low - temperature strength properties of cement stabilized macadam base material design method . In summary , this paper provides a the guiding theoretical basis and operating methods . Cement stabilized macadam base of cold regions to further improve the crack resistance
