Abstract


Since the 1950s and 1960s , Schultz (Theodore · W · Schultz), Gary Becker ( Gray · S · Becker ) , Lucas ( Lucas ) , Denison ( Dennis) and other representatives Economics home to explain the economic growth from the point of view of human capital . They expand the concept of capital by the physical capital to human capital , investment in human capital and physical capital investment , is one of the important source of economic growth . Based on the theory of human capital and economic growth theory , theory analysis of the role of human capital for economic growth , the economic growth of the human capital caused and the interactive relationship between the two ; same time , in order to verify in practice human capital is the reasons of rapid economic growth and human capital to promote the role of China 's economic growth in the end how much an empirical test of empirical data on the relationship between the two . Because most researchers in the past and are based on some kind of human capital measurement method calculated on China 's human capital , and later simply based on the data collected each regression analysis , leading each of the results of larger differences , so paper at the same time from two angles of the stock of human capital and human capital regional differences , the relationship between our human capital and economic growth an empirical test and regression analysis . After making the above theoretical analysis and empirical analysis , we draw the following main conclusions : (1 ) the human capital of our country has a long-term role in promoting economic growth ; (2) China 's current economic growth is mainly caused by the investment typical investment -driven economic growth : ( 3 ) the role of human capital for economic growth is less obvious , but is improving year by year ; (4) physical capital on economic growth in the long-term economic development of China's future the role will be more and more weakened , and the role of human capital will be continuously enhanced ; (5 ) years of education per capita , with the region's economic growth is positively related to , but its contribution to economic growth ; (6) human capital Gini coefficient with the region's economic growth are negatively correlated . Finally , in order to make our human capital to play its due role , the paper proposes a number of specific policy recommendations .
