Widespread use of semi-rigid asphalt pavement reflection cracking during use is troubled by road workers a universal problem, the presence of cracks in the road will reduce the applicability and durability. For grassroots often higher quality gravel Macadam, in a foreign country as a mitigation measure reflective cracking of asphalt pavement to get more use, and more successful, grading macadam base basically cleared the lower lying semi-rigid temperature shrinkage cracking, which grade macadam base added is also very beneficial in reducing the shrinkage, however, accompanied by increasingly heavy transport tasks, graded gravel asphalt pavement cracking the top-down destruction occur often. In this paper, considering grading macadam base characteristics, based on the use of the theory of fracture mechanics, finite element method to create surface cracks with asphalt pavement structure three-dimensional finite element model to calculate the graded gravel asphalt pavement surface cracks tip stress intensity factor, by predicting the fatigue crack extended to predict the service life of asphalt pavement. This paper considers the horizontal loads and vertical loads together for graded gravel asphalt pavement surface cracks influence calculation results show that: when the surface has a slight surface cracks are present, consider horizontal loads and vertical loads calculated from the surface of the joint action effective crack tip stress intensity factor than when considering only vertical loads a substantial increase, indicating that horizontal load is an important factor to promote crack propagation. Therefore, considering only the vertical load for the cracking of the surface layer of the surface is not comprehensive and scientific. In considering the horizontal loads and vertical loads together under the premise, this paper analyzes the thickness of the surface layer, the surface layer modulus, graded gravel base modulus, graded gravel base thickness, modulus of subbase, subgrade modulus for asphalt pavement surface crack fatigue crack growth was investigated, and surface cracks under overload conditions effective stress intensity factor analyzed. In this paper, Paris formula, using a reasonable method to calculate the numerical analysis of asphalt pavement surface crack fatigue life analysis of the pavement structure calculation parameters for asphalt pavement surface crack fatigue life, the recommendations put forward the corresponding calculation results can react surface cracks fatigue damage process of grading macadam asphalt pavement surface cracks Prevention and Treatment reference.
