Surfactants in emulsion explosives has been more research , but rarely reported amphoteric surfactants in emulsion explosives . This article through research on the amphoteric surfactants selected synthesis of a variety of amphoteric surfactants , and with the Span 80 compound , used in emulsion explosives , in order to improve the emulsion explosives explosive performance and stability. The long carbon chain alcohol or amine as starting material, the long carbon chain of the tertiary amine is formed after the reaction of the series , and then quaternized with propanesultone ie amphoteric surfactants . The synthesized compounds were characterized by MS, NMR and other analytical means , the results show that the resulting product was a target product . The synthesis of amphoteric surfactants in the form of a small amount of additives used in emulsion explosives , the amphoteric surface active agent is added in the emulsion explosives , as measured by DSC its compatibility with ammonium nitrate ; using cylinder Determination the Span80 multiplexed with the emulsifying power ; by centrifugation comparison latex stability of the system to add each of the amphoteric surfactant ; high and low temperature cycling method comparison add each amphoteric surfactant , the storage stability of the emulsion explosives , the results showed that the to molecules containing hydroxyl groups , amphoteric surface active agent is a long carbon chain the C 14 < / sub >, best results the C 16 < / sub> .
