Abstract

Purpose of this paper is to study calf milk replacer feeding and feeding of their growth performance, nutrient digestion and absorption, serum biochemical parameters, feeding and related behavior in school for the the amount fed calves cultivation and behavior The terms of the basis. Experiment, the amount of milk replacer feeding on calf growth and material to digest and serological indicators. The select similar weight newborn Holstein calves 24, were randomly divided into three treatments, 8 replicates per treatment, each repeated a cow caged. The amount of milk replacer emulsion feeding order of 9.5% of the weight of calves, 11.0% and 12.5% ??respectively 0,2,4,6,8 weeks weighing determination of body size and blood collection was recorded daily feed intake and fecal score. Metabolic tests twice during the trial period, in the first 3 to 4 weeks and 5 to 6 weeks. The results showed that: during the entire experiment, three groups of calves body weight, body size change differences are not significant (P = 0.5010), at 3-4 weeks of age, the average daily gain of more than 11.0% 9.5% calf group and 12.5% ??low 107.6 g and 99.3 g (P = 0.0019), calf body weight and body size with the week-old growth and a significant increase (P lt; 0.0001). Calves in the first and second weeks, prone to diarrhea (fecal index gt; 2), with the week-old growth the the calf feces index in the 2 weeks of age began to decline, fecal index in less than 2 minutes . Calf feed intake group was significantly different (P = 0.0011). Period in 3 to 4 weeks, 11% of the group of calves feed conversion rate lowest value and 12.5% ??group, 9.5% group showed significant differences (P = 0.023-9). Digestion and metabolism of the test results showed that the three groups of calves crude fat intake: 3 to 4-week-old stage, there is a significant difference (P = 0.0008), 9.5% calf dry matter, organic matter, crude protein, calcium and total phosphorus intake was significantly lower than the 11.0% and 12.5% ??group (P = 0.0009), the 9.5% group of calves on nutrient digestibility were highest, but the digestibility of crude protein, total phosphorus group, 11.0% in the highest, digestion and metabolic energy are 12.5% ??was the highest, and significantly higher than the 9.5% group (P = 0.0068); energy digestibility of the three groups of calves was significantly different (P = 0.0014); 5 to 6-week-old stage, 12.5% the highest crude fat intake group, and significantly higher than the other two groups (P = 0.0002), 11.0% group calves on nutrient digestibility were slightly higher than the other groups, which was significantly higher than the 11.0% digestibility of calcium 12.5% ??group (P = 0.0197), 11.0% of the energy of the group discharged significantly lower than the 12.5% ??group (P = 0.0070). Serum biochemical parameters influenced by the week-old blood. Cleared total protein, serum albumin and serum globulin increase with age and increase the white / globulin ratio showed a downward trend with the increasing of days; serum glucose, triglycerides ester and blood. clear urea nitrogen stable within a certain range. Conclusion, the amount of milk replacer feeding on calf growth, digestion and metabolism of nutrients, blood. Clear biochemical markers have varying degrees of impact, milk substitutes emulsion suitable feeding amount to 11.0% of the body weight of calves. In experiment 2, milk replacer feeding on calf growth and behavior. Select similar weight newborn Holstein calves 24, divided into four groups, each group of six, total weight 11% milk substitutes emulsion milk bucket in accordance with the lap, lap bottles, together laps milk barrel co laps milk bottle fed. Weighed measured the body size in calves first 0, 2, 4, 6, 8 weeks of age, the day before the morning feeding. Select one day in the weeks 1,3,5,7 3,4,5,6 days, a combination of manual recording with VCR recording method for recording behavior parameters. The results show that: the milk replacer feeding on calf weight and average daily gain of no significant impact (P = 0.9587). Body length to lap bottles group value the largest 6 weeks old and 8 weeks of age, respectively, significantly greater than the aggregate circle bottle group (P = 0.0358) co laps milk barrel group (P = 0.0330). At 2 weeks of age, the calf faeces index decreased after 2 weeks of age, co-lap group the calf feces index sudden increase in the 5 weeks of age, and was significantly higher than the lap group (P lt; 0.0001). Bottle feeding calves milk uptake time were significantly longer than milk bucket fed calves (P lt; 0.0001). Milk intake rate by the milk buckets groups rapidly and lap the milk bucket group at 3, 5 and 7 weeks of age was significantly higher than the other three groups (P lt; 0.0001). Lap group calves top milk behavior more frequently, and the number of lap bottles group calves remain more top milk acts in 3,5 weeks old. When the lap group in the 3-week-old calf sucking empty barrel / to Xitian nipple time was significantly longer than the co-lap group (P lt; 0.0001), and co-lap baby bottles group was significantly longer than the co-lap milk bucket group (P lt; 0.0001 ). 1 week old milk bucket group calves sucking barrel edge significantly longer than the bottle group calves sucking milk bottle time (P lt; 0.0001), 3, 5-week-old, lap milk bucket group calves significantly higher than the other three groups (P lt; 0.0001). Throughout the trial period, the milk bucket group calves sucking railings behavior showed a longer time. Milk replacer feeding on calf dawdle railings, self-grooming, sniffing ground, lying down, as well as co-lap group calves sniff other cattle, social grooming behavior have a certain impact, but a shorter duration. Hopewell circle group calves sucking each other abnormal behavior mainly in calves between each other sucking mouth, neck, ears, navel, soma and other behavior, which in the first weeks of age, the milk bucket group calves mutual sucking neck Ministry of time significantly longer than the milk bottle group (P = 0.0040), and when the milk pail group in the 5-week-old calf sucking each other ears time significantly longer than the milk bottle group (P = 0.0377). Conclusion, different milk replacer feeding behavior of calves have different effects, can effectively reduce the duration of the calves of non-nutritive sucking behavior and abnormal behavior bottle-fed calves.
