Abstract


Furnace is a typical indusrtial complex object, it is notable to have a multi-variable, time-varying,nonlinear,strong coupling, and the inertial characteristics of pure delay, and because the temperature of furnace is difficult to measure, external disturbance factors, it is difficult to accurately modeling and control. So Experts and academics engaged in metallurgical automation control form all over the world have been continuous efforts to make breakthrough progress in theory and practice .PCS7 is a new process control system based on the PLC hardware platform and the technology of PROFIBUS. PLC is usually used in metallurgical industries, chemical industries, and power plant auxiliary systems. PLC is more eccomical and flexible than traditional DCS. On the other hand,technically speaking, PLCcan do everything that DCS can do. So we use PCS7 system in this project.On the basis of participating in the combustion control system design and debug of the AN Steel walking beam reheating furnace which produces Silicon steel.This paper concludes the practice and work. According to the former research and the fact, the practices I do are as flows:Firstly, described in detail throughout the automatic control system design process based on the expound of the technological requirements and combustion system .The temperature control strategy is:preheating and heating zone 1 use the control of inter-pull mode, the top part of the heating zone 2 and the soaking zone use the double-cross limit control, the bottom part of the heating zone 2 and the soaking zone use impulse control. It is the first time to use three control mode in one furnacein our country. Use self-learning to control the furnace pressure and then analysis air-fuel ratio control, heat control,small flow aperture control and so on.Secondly, briefly introduce the part of PCS7 process control system applied in this program, and describe the hardware configuration and network architecture of the system, then list the items that is necessary to detect and control, and introduce some control loop.Thirdly, the operation and monitoring system, which include Graphical User Interface(GUI), Archive System and Report System, is designed and configured.Finally,analyzed the result of On-site debug. The actual production results shown that the system was designed reasonably reliably and could meet the control requirements of the production of silicon steel.
