Abstract


The digitizer is an instrument that can sample analog signal and do the digital signal processsing. It can be applied to lots of fields. PCI Express bus is a new and low cost serial bus ,it can provide the highest data transfer rate and reliability.There is not PCI-E digitizer in the market. So,it means much to develop the digitizer based on PCI-E bus.On the hardware part ,use the PEX8311 of the PLX company to design the PCI-E interface and choose the AD9430 and DDRII SDRAM to design the high sampling part and on-board storage part and also design the analog signal conditioning circuit.Use one FPGA as the whole controller of AD and multi-chanel data store.It can communicate with the computer and Use the Intellectual Property DDRII Controller to Control the read and write of DDRII SDRAM. This paper use the DDK to develop the driver of the PCI-E digitizer to control it and to high efficiently read the data to the computer. use the Vstudio.Net platform to develop its application software ,which has the digital sigal processing function and sampling data dynamic show and store function.By using the multi theads technic which has multi task and high performance of real time character,the application software achieve the high speed user response and high efficiency.The test results and actual running prove that the design of the digitizer is correct,It has four parallel chunnel.It’s maximum sampling rate is 100MS/s.It has FFT and power spectrum calculating and data display function and it’s performance is reliable and stable.
