Abstract


Traditional emphasis on literary translation studies research , however , in fact, in the daily translation activities, Scientific English translation accounts for a large proportion . Say that this is a mismatch between theory and practice does not conform to the current China and the world's growing number of scientific and technological exchanges trend. This article will attempt to study from the perspective of Relevance Theory and Technology English Translation , relevance theory has been adopted is because I believe that the theory of science and technology translation practice associated with a strong explanation and guidance. Within the framework of relevance theory , translation is a schematic involving two - the reasoning process , three communicators that the original author , the translator and the reader communicative acts . Translator in relevance theory under the guidance of the original language stimulation and contextual information reasoning original author communicative intention , connect it to the reader 's expectations combined elucidate what and how interpretation and use appropriate methods for translation. This paper attempts to explore the technology embodied in English translation and the associated theoretical ideas associated with the theory of how scientific English translation interpretation and guidance. Firstly, this paper briefly describes the purpose and significance , pointing out that domestic and foreign research status in this field and in this thesis to solve the problem . Closely related to this article then describes the basic concepts of relevance theory , including the nature of communicative reasoning , cognitive environment , context and contextual effects associated with the principle of relevance , as well as explicit meaning and implications of the concept . Followed by a discussion related Perspective translation activities , noting that translation involves three parties express communicative activities . , The author analyzes the concept of scientific English , classification , characteristics and current theories of English for Science and Technology . In the main part of the paper , the author discusses in detail the technological perspective associated with English translation , first analyzes the scientific English translation and cognitive elements, including language knowledge, scientific knowledge and environmental information . Secondly, it discusses the scientific English translation reasoning process , including how to correctly understand the text , as well as how to express translations. Finally, the author puts forward some strategies used in technical translation , English translation of science and technology in order to achieve optimal relevance . Author concludes text , pointing out deficiencies .
