Abstract


The Ministry of Education of the People 's Republic of China , New Standard English course , foster independent learning English as the main objective of English teaching , urged teachers and education authorities to create conditions to develop the students' learning autonomy . This paper focuses on the development of students ' self- learning ability to conduct in-depth study and discussion . The paper first reviews the autonomous learning concepts and theoretical basis , and expounded the necessity to train high school students' self- learning ability to analyze the impact of the elements of the self - learning ability , such as : learner autonomy in English learning attitude , learning motivation learning strategies and learning environment. Then the author of 279 Mianyang high school students questionnaires and interviews to understand the status quo of high school students ' self - learning . Through research, this article attempts to discuss the following issues : 1 ) the feasibility of high school students' self- learning ability in middle school culture ; 2) how to help these high school students to become active and autonomous English learners . Through data analysis and results , the authors draw the following conclusions : 1) it is feasible to train high school students' self- learning ability in the region . First of all , most of the students have a sense of independent learning , they recognize that should be responsible for their own learning , but still need the help of teachers , guidance and supervision ; Secondly, they are also aware of the importance of learning strategies , but the specific choice and Using somewhat lacking . 2) of the results of the survey , put forward proposals to improve the corresponding cultured English learners autonomy English learning effect . English teaching work of the entire study in the region has great significance .
