Abstract


Objective: To observe the efficacy and adverse effects of arsenic trioxide (ATO) Joint LPA in the treatment of newly diagnosed acute promyelocytic leukemia (APL) patients . : Into the group of 13 patients with previously untreated APL patients , all accept the following treatment options : ATO combined AIDA program (ATRA IDA) , remission induction therapy , grouped according to risk has given complete remission after three courses of ATRA chemotherapy consolidation therapy achieved complete molecular remission after give the ATO and ATRA mercaptopurine , methotrexate alternating maintenance therapy for 2 years ; every 3 months after completion of consolidation therapy , nested RT-PCR detection of the PML-RARĪ± fusion gene . Results: 13 cases of APL patients , 13 patients ( 100% ) after induction therapy achieved a complete remission , early mortality was 0% . Patients lost to stop on their own after treatment , two cases under consolidation therapy , more than 10 cases (76.9 %) patients received consolidation therapy after remission induction in 10 cases (100%) after three courses of consolidation therapy in patients with PML -RARĪ± fusion gene was negative . The median follow - up of 18 months ( 2-32 ) , yet to see hematological relapse . Common adverse reactions are bone marrow suppression secondary infection and bleeding, headache and liver function damage , but did not affect the subsequent treatment . Conclusions : APL patients with the ATO joint the LPA program of treatment with satisfactory results can be obtained , and the patient less adverse reactions .
