Abstract

Objective : To investigate the use of refractory epilepsy in cortical EEG monitoring the efficacy of removal of the epileptic focus . Methods: 28 patients with preoperative after repeated routine EEG , 24 - hour dynamic EEG positioning combined with CT , MR I or fMRI , MRS and PET examination results to determine the exact location of the epileptic focus . The cortical EEG precise positioning monitoring surgical resection of epileptogenic lesions . Results: 28 patients with refractory epilepsy by cortical EEG monitoring accurate positioning, after resection of epileptogenic lesions spikes , spikes , spines , sharp slow wave complexes reduce or completely disappeared . Rating: Engel postoperative results were satisfied ( seizures disappear ) in 21 cases ( 75%) , significant improvement in 3 cases (10.8%) , good in 4 cases ( 14.3%) , 0 ineffective . Conclusion: The use of EEG cortical monitoring in epilepsy surgery , into - further precise positioning of epileptic foci , guiding surgical resection of the epileptic focus correctly and predict the effect of surgery , help to improve the effectiveness of surgical treatment in the treatment of epilepsy surgery certain application value .
