Background and Purpose leukoaraiosis (white matter lesions, WMLs) refers periventricular or subcortical white matter of non-specific damage can occur in healthy people , but it is generally considered with many older or adult diseases such as cardiovascular disease , dementia, mental disorders and so on. Currently WMLs the mechanism , radiological assessment grading, clinical significance, and so has not yet been unified opinion . This paper ( 1 ) Department of Neurology, explore the risk factors associated inpatient WMLs and ( 2 ) between the different risk factors WMLs genotyping differences Methods From January 2010 to December 2010 in our hospital inpatient neurology and parallel head MRA, 485 MR imaging data of the patient , clinical history and laboratory test data and correlation analysis . In the study of gender, age , clinical history ( history of hypertension, diabetes, coronary heart disease and stroke history ) , admitted for the first time blood pressure, laboratory tests ( glucose, total cholesterol, triglycerides, high density lipoprotein, low-density lipoprotein protein , lipoprotein a), cerebral arteriosclerosis as independent variables to WMLs as the dependent variable , the application of two non-conditional logistic regression analysis between WMLs and risk factors , using gradually into law , P lt; 0.05 for entry criteria. Typing on WMLs between groups of non- parametric tests , including gender, clinical history ( history of hypertension, coronary heart disease and stroke history ) , intracranial atherosclerosis, infarct size using the X2 test ( rows by list ) ; age, admitted for the first time blood pressure, laboratory tests ( glucose, total cholesterol, triglycerides, high -density lipoprotein , LDL, lipoprotein a) such uses Kruskal-Wallis rank sum test ( Upon examination, quantitative data does not meet the prerequisite for parametric tests ) . Results ( 1 ) Analysis of the risk factors associated with WMLs associated with statistically significant variables were age , history of hypertension, history of stroke , cerebral arteriosclerosis. ( 2 ) the level of single-factor analysis of gender, age, history of hypertension, systolic blood pressure and cerebral arteriosclerosis admitted for the first time on WMLs variables such as the difference between the groups was statistically significant. Conclusion Age , some vascular risk factors and history of stroke risk factors related to WMLs ; different risk factors that could cause WMLs morphological differences .
