Abstract

Objective: heart ankle index Cardio - off ankle vascular index ( , the CAVI ) and maximum carotid intima thickness ( Max carotid the intima -media thickness , Max IMT ) , mean carotid intima thickness ( Mean carotid the intima -media thickness , Mean IMT) the predicted coronary atherosclerosis value comparison , the diagnostic value of CAVI of coronary atherosclerosis . Methods: June 2008 - November 2008 Second Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang University, Department of Cardiology hospital , who underwent coronary angiography in patients with suspected coronary artery disease as the research object , according to the results of coronary angiography and Gensini score , divided into crown pulse normal group (0 points) the 1-80 grouping ,81 -160 packet , the latter two groups were considered positive for coronary angiography . All patients in coronary angiography before fasting blood collection , CAVI and IMT Determination . Results: 166 patients were enrolled , normal coronary group of 60 patients , the the Gensini integral 1-80 grouping 54 ,81- 160 Packet 52 cases , triglycerides and high-density lipoprotein levels of the three groups of patients , no significant difference ( P gt ; 0.05) , age , body mass index , low-density lipoprotein , total cholesterol , glycosylated hemoglobin significant difference ( P lt; 0.05 ) , CAVI, Max IMT, Mean IMT was significantly different between the different groups , Gensini score 81-160 packet CAVI , Max IMT, Mean IMT values ??higher than Gensini score 1-80 the grouping and coronary normal group ; Gensini score 1-80 group the CAVI Max IMT, Mean IMT values ??higher than the coronary normal group ( P lt ; 0.05) . CAVI, Max IMT, Mean IMT correlated with Gensini score correlation coefficients were 0.56,0.41,0.32 ( P lt; 0.05 ) . The CAVI Max IMT and Mean IMT predict coronary atherosclerosis ROC curve analysis the CAVI the area under the curve than Max IMT and Mean IMT large . CAVI and coronary heart disease risk factors univariate regression analysis indicated : CAVI with age , body mass index , hypertension , history of diabetes , smoking , systolic blood pressure , pulse pressure , glycated hemoglobin , LDL and total cholesterol related ; stepwise multiple regression analysis indicated that : gender, age , body mass index , diabetes , and CAVI independently associated . Conclusion: Compared with Max IMT and Mean IMT CAVI with coronary atherosclerosis severity of the lesions was significantly related to higher predictive value of coronary atherosclerosis , and can be used for the detection of coronary heart disease risk populations .
