Abstract


Objective To describe the matron nurses perceived transformational leadership, transactional leadership behavior and nurses' job satisfaction, organizational commitment to the status quo, and the relationship between them; analysis of the relationship between nurse job satisfaction and organizational commitment; understand perception of nurses with different demographic characteristics of the leadership behavior of head nurses, nurse job satisfaction and organizational commitment whether there are differences. Methods This study is a non-experimental study using a convenience sample collected seven three general hospitals nurses as research subjects. A total of 600 questionnaires distributed, 456 valid questionnaires. Four research tools, are diverse leadership behavior scale, job satisfaction questionnaire, organizational commitment questionnaire and nurses demographic characteristics questionnaire. The information collected by SPSS13.0 for statistical analysis. Frequency counts and percentages to describe the demographic characteristics of the nurses; using the mean and standard deviation to describe the head nurse leadership behavior perceived by nurses, nurse job satisfaction and organizational commitment; using ANOVA or t test analysis is to investigate the nurses the matron leadership behavior, demographic characteristics and their perception of the relationship; nurse job satisfaction and organizational commitment Person correlation analysis matron leadership behavior and nurses work satisfaction, organizational commitment to the relationship between nurse job satisfaction and organizational commitment relationship. Results (1) The matron of nurses perceived transformational leadership than transactional leadership behavior; transformational leadership behavior variables from highest to lowest scores were charisma, charismatic, intelligent inspire, personalized care; transactional leadership high to low sort of behavior scores were contingent reward, active management by exception, passive management by exception; nurse the exogenous job satisfaction of higher than endogenous job satisfaction; organizational commitment variable score high in the end sort normative commitment, emotional commitment to the ideals and commitment to economic commitment, commitment opportunities. (2) matron transformational leadership and transactional leadership behavior and nurses' job satisfaction, organizational commitment was a significant positive correlation. Charismatic, intelligent inspire, charisma, personalized attention, contingent reward, active exception management and nurses work satisfaction degree of emotional commitment, normative commitment, ideal commitment was positively correlated; addition to personalized care and economic commitment to no correlation, intelligent inspire personalized care initiative exception management and machine backhaul promise no relevance outside, above other leadership behavior and economic commitment of nurses, opportunities commitment was negatively correlated; matron passive management by exception and nurse job satisfaction, affective commitment, normative commitment, ideal commitment is negatively correlated with economic commitment of nurses, the opportunity commitment showed a significant positive correlation. (3) A nurse job satisfaction and organizational commitment was a significant positive correlation endogenous job satisfaction and extrinsic job satisfaction and affective commitment, normative commitment, ideal commitment was a significant positive correlation was negatively correlated with the opportunity to promise, and The economic promises no correlation. Major demographic characteristics (4) The impact of nurses perceived leadership behavior of head nurses age of nurses, nursing age, title, degree, major general demographic characteristics affect nurses organizational commitment age of nurses, nursing age, title, monthly salary, job satisfaction is not the impact of the demographic characteristics of the nurses. Conclusions (1) The matron of nurses perceived transformational leadership behaviors higher than the the matron transactional leadership behavior; nurse the exogenous job satisfaction of higher than endogenous job satisfaction; organizational commitment variable score from high in the end sort were normative commitment, emotional commitment to the ideals and commitment to economic commitment, opportunities commitment. (2) nurses perception matron transformational leadership and transactional leadership behavior nurses job satisfaction, organizational commitment was a significant positive correlation. The nurses' job satisfaction and organizational commitment was a significant positive correlation. (3) The age of nurses, nursing age, title affect the matron of nurses perceived leadership behavior and organizational commitment of nurses.
