Clinical Observation of Surgical Treatment for Humerus Surgical Neck Fractures

Abstract


Objective: To observe the anatomy of the proximal humerus locking plate for treatment of unstable surgical neck of humerus fractures clinical efficacy, in order to improve the cure rate of the humerus surgical neck fracture . Methods: The study cases from Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine Affiliated Hospital orthopedic ward from October 2007 to October 2010 surgical treatment and were followed up for 42 cases of surgical neck of humerus fracture patients . There were 17 males and 25 female patients , the oldest 91 years old , minimum 21 years old , the average age of 57.2 years , 21 cases, the left and right side in 21 cases . According to the Neer classification standard type II 16 cases , 20 cases of type III and type IV six cases . Preoperative clinical diagnosis and imaging assessment to determine the timing of surgery ; intraoperative attention to the protection of the soft tissue and blood vessels and nerves ; system of rehabilitation of patients with post-operative instructions functional exercise and take the necessary measures to prevent the occurrence of complications . Year after surgery using the the Neer shoulder joint function score score effects were observed. Results: 42 patients were excellent in 27 cases, good in 11 cases , 3 cases and poor in 1 case , good rate of 90.5% . Conclusion: The proximal humerus anatomic locking plate treatment more effective treatment of unstable fracture of surgical neck fractures ; intraoperative attention to careful operation , the function of the system after exercise is particularly important to restore the function of the shoulder joint . Such treatment method is worthy of clinical application and further research .
