Objective: analysis of seven cases of brucellosis misdiagnosis explore the clinical and imaging characteristics of brucellosis and tuberculosis of the spine , to improve the diagnosis and differential diagnosis of brucellosis . Materials and Methods : From 2007 to 2010 in our hospital , seven cases of brucellosis patients confirmed by pathological examination and serological tests , the group confirmed seven cases of surgical pathological examination and clinical serological examination cloth the the the Bordetella patients clinical and X-ray , CT.MRI imaging data were retrospectively analyzed , and 32 cases have been diagnosed with tuberculosis of the spine imaging data for comparison , to investigate the causes of misdiagnosis . Results: 7 cases of brucellosis patients hospitalized clinical , x -ray and CT are misdiagnosed as tuberculosis, six cases misdiagnosed by MRI scans , the diseased parts : six cases misdiagnosed patients , lesions were involved in two or more vertebral bodies L2 3 vertebrae two cases , L4 vertebrae , cervical ( neck 3-7 ) in 1 case, the lesions were located in the lumbar spine , two vertebrae were damaged most obvious . Seven cases serum test tube agglutination check titers greater than 1:300 , rose bengal plate agglutination test positive ELISA tests specific antibody IgM, IgG positive ; seven cases of brucellosis patients , blood , red blood cells sedimentation rate normal three cases , increased white blood cells , lymphocytosis , erythrocyte sedimentation rate :25-55mm / h4 cases , C - reactive protein ( ) 5 cases , 2 cases of TB antibodies , positive anti-streptolysin \cases. 6 cases of positive pathogenic examination . 6 cases were treated with surgical debridement therapy , surgery , biopsy and pathological results are in line with the performance of brucellosis spondylitis cytology . Conclusion: The combination of clinical and imaging characteristics of performance , pathological examination and serological tests , brucellosis and tuberculosis of the spine can make a differential diagnosis .
